Experimental study on mechanical properties of bolted spherical joints strengthened with steel plates
Aiming at the high-strength bolts'fake tightened-up phenomena of the bolted spherical joints, welded steel plate is often used to reinforce bolted spherical joints to ensure its bearing capacity in practical engineering. In order to study the failure mode and ultimate bearing capacity law of bolted spherical joints strengthened with steel plate, three groups of bolted spherical joints strengthened by steel plates with 0.5d(d is bolt diameter)high-strength bolts'screwed depth were tested for tensile strength.Experimental results show that the bearing capacity of bolted spherical joints strengthened with steel plates can be improved, but it is difficult to coordinate the deformation of high-strength bolts and steel plates, and local failure occurs due to the uncoordinated stress of joints. The original reinforcement method was improved, and the tensile failure tests of bolted spherical joints after reinforcement were carried out.The results show that the mechanical properties of the improved steel plate reinforced bolted spherical joints are greatly improved, which provide guarantee for the reinforcement of bolted joints.
