Research on application of coupling beam damper in shear wall structure in high seismic intensity area
Based on the project in a high seismic intensity area,the mechanical behavior and design method of the shear wall structure with the coupling beam dampers were studied.The structural seismic energy dissipation performance and the elastoplastic performance were analyzed by using ETABS program.Coupling beam damper under earthquake can be a reliable energy dissipation component in shear wall structure,reduce the seismic response,effectively control the structural damage mode,prevent the shear failure of concrete coupling beam,reduce the damage of concrete components,and implement the function of replaceable coupling beam.It is recommended to use the precautionary earthquake intensity to evaluate the performance of energy dissipation and the concept of "damage control" should be used to design structures.The shear wall structure with coupling beam damper is easier to achieve the damage control target of minor structural repairs under the precautionary earthquake.
