A reinforced truss composite insulated shear wall with eaves was proposed. Two full-scale shear wall test elements were designed and the damage characteristics, hysteretic performance, bearing capacity, ductility, strength degradation, stiffness degradation and energy dissipation capacity of the wall were analyzed through the proposed static seismic test. The results show that the distribution of cracks in reinforced truss composite insulated shear wall is basically the same, and all of them show bending damage characteristics. The crack of the specimen with eaves extends to the outer protective layer of the thermal insulation board, and the structural layer and thermal insulation layer have good overall working performance. There is no crack in the outer protective layer of the insulation board of the specimen without eaves, and the overall working performance is poor. The peak load, displacement ductility and cumulative energy consumption of the reinforced truss composite insulation shear wall with eaves are improved, and it has good bearing and ductility performance. The hysteresis curve is fuller and the stiffness degradation is reduced, indicating that the eaves can improve the overall seismic performance of the reinforced truss composite insulation shear wall.
