Analysis of the effects on performances and constructional problems of arranging partial negative rebars of RC frame beam into side floor slab
In order to meet the development requirements of multi-function,large-span,heavy load and high seismic resistance in buildings, the negative rebars ratio at the end of the frame beam is usually high, rebars in joint are too dense, thus the quality of concrete construction is difficult to ensure, which has adverse effects on the comprehensive performance of the structure. The concept arranging partial negative rebars of frame beam ends into side floor slab(APNRFS)was expounded first. Then, based on the experiment results, the changes in structural performance and related structural issues caused by this reinforcement method were analyzed and discussed. The analysis results show that using APNRFS reinforcement at the beam end generally does not reduce the bearing capacity of the frame beam, the bending deformation capacity of the beam end and the seismic performance of the structure have been improved to a certain extent. The arrangement width of the negative rebars of the beam moved into the slab should be less than the effective flange width range. The negative rebars at the end of the beam that has been moved into the slab should also serve as the negative rebars of the floor slab. The transverse distributed rebars participates in the stress, and should be appropriately added in the design.
