Research on force transfer rule of secondary cable structure of Qatar Lusail Stadium
The roof cable structure of the Qatar Lusail Stadium adopts a combination of spoke type cable truss, inner ring cable and single-layer bidirectional cable net.The spoke type cable truss and inner ring cable belong to the main cable structure, while the single-layer bidirectional cable net belongs to the secondary cable structure. The main cable and the secondary cable are connected by braces.Studying the effect of adjusting the length of a certain cable segment in a secondary cable structure on itself and other cable segments is a key and difficult point in cable force control and cable net formation. The cooling and heating method was used to simulate the adjustment of cable length, and the mutual influence relationship of cable forces on relevant cable segments was analyzed when the cable length changed. When adjusting the length of a cable segment, the cable force of other cable segments along its radial coaxial line does not change significantly. The changing cable force is mainly transmitted to other cable segments connected to the cable segment, forming a transmission line. The cable force of the cable segments connected is consistent with the trend of the actively adjusted cable force, and the decreasing of the cable force changes according to the increase of distance. The above force transmission rules are applicable in different circumferential parts of the stadium or when adjusting different cable segments on the transmission line. The cable force adjustment and monitoring data during the construction process have verified the correctness and practicality of the force transmission rule of the secondary cable structure.
