Experimental study on seismic performance of pre-assembled bridge piers with semi-grouting sleeves connected at different positions
In order to study the seismic performance of pre-assembled bridge piers connected with semi-grouting sleeves at different positions, three pre-assembled bridge piers connected with sleeves at the top(YZD-T specimen),middle(YZD-M specimen)and bottom(YZD-B specimen)of the pier body and one integral cast-in-place bridge pier specimen(XJD specimen)were designed and fabricated. The seismic performance of each specimen was studied by low-cycle repeated loading test. The research shows that the pre-assembled bridge piers connected with semi-grouting sleeves and the integral cast-in-place bridge pier specimen are both flexural failure and have strong bearing capacity. The difference of displacement ductility coefficient of each pre-assembled bridge pier specimens is within 5%,and it is smaller than that of the integral cast-in-place specimen. The yield displacement of YZD-M specimen is the largest. When the YZD-T specimen and the YZD-B specimen are destroyed, the stiffness of the YZD-M specimen is 8.26%,13.53%and 20.02%higher than that of the XJD,YZD-T specimen and the YZD-B specimen, respectively. The cumulative energy consumption is not much different from that of the XJD specimen, which is 1.95%and 23.72%larger than that of the YZD-T specimen and the YZD-B specimen, respectively. In contrast, among the pre-assembled pier specimens, the pre-assembled pier specimens connected in the middle of the pier have the best seismic performance and can be used as a recommended scheme for the design of pre-assembled piers.
