Experimental study on flexural behavior of reinforced concrete beams with new lap connection
In order to meet the needs of high-efficiency and high-precision assembly construction of reinforcement components in concrete structures,a new type of reinforcement lapping method with strong adaptability was proposed in view of the limitations of the traditional binding and connection method of reinforcement. In order to verify the stress reliability of the lapping method, five groups of 15 specimens were designed and made with the lapping method, lapping length and contact as variables.Through the typical four point bending test, the failure mode,load-displacement curve and the variation law of reinforcement strain in the lap area of each specimen were studied. The test results show that the lapping method of reinforcement has a significant influence on the failure mode, and the bending cracks are concentrated at the sudden change of section reinforcement.Under the condition that the additional lap reinforcement is taken as twice the lap length, the proposed flush binding lap method can effectively transfer force.Whether the reinforcement is indirectly lapped or not has no significant effect on the bearing capacity, crack development and bending failure mode of the specimen.
