Analysis on large chassis effect of complete frame-supported shear wall structure on vehicle base
Based on a particular complete frame-supported shear wall structure of a vehicle base, the effect of large chassis on tower seismic response was analyzed by using parameters such as structure mass, stiffness, frequency, plane size of the chassis, columns'section of the podium building, and height of the tower. As well as the effect between multiple towers, and the effect of tower offset on chassis were analyzed also. The result shows that chassis effect magnifies the seismic action on the tower. The shearing force curve of tower floors bends when the height of tower reaches 150m,reflecting the curve shape of high-order modes with inflection points. When the height of tower reaches 50m,effect of chassis significantly enhances as the range of podium building extends. When the range of podium building is 60m on each side, the shear force on upper floor is about 50%greater than that of the floor at a height of 150m,and is about 2.5 times that of the floor without podium building at a height of 50m.Large chassis effect should be considered in the design of complete frame-supported shear wall structure of a vehicle base.Overall calculations based on the actual size of chassis are required to determine the effect of large chassis.
