Difficulties and countermeasures on complex shape building structural design of Three Museums in One project
The Three Museums in One project in Guangdong Province is shaped like a giant ship full of art treasure boxes. The novel architectural form presents structural design difficulties such as asymmetric and complex connections, high spatial inclined curtain walls, and large-span conversions. The structure adopts the structural system combining steel trusses and reinforced concrete frame shear-wall structures. The characteristics of deformation coordination and internal force distribution between towers of connected structures under earthquake were analyzed, and a series of targeted design measures were put forward.Based on the characteristics of high spatial inclined curtain walls,a type of H-shaped steel beam spatial oblique grid curtain wall structure system was proposed by combining curtain wall columns and beams to form a bi-directional rigid structural system. The influence of curtain wall structure on the lateral stiffness of the main structure and the internal force of vertical components was analyzed, and design countermeasures were proposed. In view of the characteristics of large-span and many underpinning layers of the underpinning structure caused by the road tunnel passing through the underground layer,a reasonable structural form was adopted, and reasonable seismic performance requirements and joint structure forms were put forward.
