Comparison and selection of a slope support scheme with backfilling height of 15m
A new 4-story building was constructed immediately adjacent to a 15-meter-high slope, and various schemes were compared for the independent retaining of the slope and the building, including separate retaining, separate construction, and joint construction with retaining.Specifically, the comparison was made among five schemes:a single tall retaining wall,a scheme involving backfilling followed by permanent pile anchorage,a joint construction involving a group of 1 000mm diameter piles,anti-sliding piles with permanent anchor cables, and anti-sliding piles with anchor cables and double-layered unloading platforms.Through the comparative analysis of these schemes, the anti-sliding piles with anchor cables and double-layered unloading platforms were selected.Verification calculations conducted by using YJK and MIDAS GTS softwares indicate that the lateral bearing capacity and deformation of the structure could be effectively controlled.Presently, the project has been implemented as scheduled, the main deformation meet regulatory requirements, and overall implementation effectiveness is satisfactory.
