To investigate the impact of seismic mitigation and isolation techniques on seismic performance of frame structures in 9-degree near-fault zone and its economic analysis,a multistory frame structure was selected as the research object. On the principle of ensuring that the structural mechanical indicators are 85%of the code limits, seismic design, seismic mitigation design and isolation design were implemented.ETABS software was used to establish seismic model, seismic mitigation model and isolation model of the structure, and comparative analysis of its seismic performance under action of near-fault and non-near-fault ground motions was conducted,as well as engineering quantity and economic analyses. The results show that the responses of each model under near-fault ground motions are larger than those of the non-near-fault ground motions.Under rare earthquakes near faults, compared to seismic model, the maximum inter-story displacement angle of the isolation model is reduced by 68.98%,the peak acceleration of floor is reduced by 76.77%,and the shear force of floor is reduced by 83.67%.Compared to seismic and isolation model, the response of isolation model is minimized under the multiple-occurrence and fortification earthquakes and the damage degree of its infill wall is minimized,so the seismic performance of isolation structure is optimal.Compared to the seismic model, the construction cost of seismic mitigation and isolation model is reduced by 8.57%and 5.54%respectively,therefore,the construction cost of the project designed by seismic mitigation is the lowest.
