Xiamen Xiang'an Airport is the first large-scale airport built on reclaimed land in China. The design on the foundation and basement design of T1 terminal building was introduced from the aspects of marine reclamation land site conditions, foundation treatment, pile foundation,super-long underground structure, durability measures, and underpass rail transit.According to the characteristics of marine reclamation land,it is necessary to consider adverse effects of negative friction of pile foundations, strong corrosiveness in the reclamation environment, later ground settlement in the design, and to take corresponding strengthening measures. The reasonable foundation design scheme was determined by combining the results of geological survey, pile testing and settlement analysis. In response to the characteristics of super-long underground, multiple crack resistance measures such as setting delayed closure U-shaped deformation joints had been adopted. In the area underneath the rail transit, the independent foundation under the column was designed to be supported on the tunnel roof, which effectively solves the problem of insufficient height and high cost when setting up a large-span conversion structure at the top of the tunnel.By adopting measures such as track vibration reduction and local adjustment of room usage functions, the control requirements for vibration and noise caused by rail transit were met.
