Experimental study on mechanical properties of curtain wall connectors for insulated concrete sandwich panels
The use of insulated concrete sandwich panels as the building envelope has been very common, but the connection with the traditional curtain wall is still a problem that needs to be solved in recent years.A kind of curtain wall connector for insulated concrete sandwich panels was developed, which was used to connect precast insulated concrete sandwich panel and curtain wall.In order to study the mechanical properties of the connectors, the pull-out test and shear test of the connectors were carried out.The failure modes,load-displacement curves and shear capacity of the specimens with three insulation thicknesses of 60mm,80mm and 100mm and two insulation materials(XPS and PU)were compared. The anchorage and shear properties were studied and analyzed. The results show that the failure mode of the pull-out specimen is concrete anchorage failure. The shear specimen reaches the shear bearing capacity due to the cracking of the inner leaf plate concrete at the end of the connector. With the increase of the thickness of the insulation layer, the shear bearing capacity of the shear specimen is gradually reduced, the synergistic effect of the connector and the inner leaf plate is weakened, and the rotation angle of the inner leaf plate is reduced.
