Development challenges, critical technologies and practical applications of BIM forward design for building structures
Building information modeling(BIM)forward design is pivotal technology for the digital transformation of the construction industry and serves as the foundation for intelligent construction and maintenance. However, its application and expansion still encounter significant barriers. The development challenges of BIM forward design for building structure were summarized, and the key technologies to overcome these challenges were identified:efficient BIM foundation for large and complex buildings,real-time maintenance system for topological relationships dedicated to finite element analysis, and BIM-based intelligent design platform. The results show that the developed BIM foundation surpass the performance limitations of mainstream BIM platforms, and the real-time maintenance system for topological relationships achieve integration of BIM and finite element models, facilitating"dual model unity".The intelligent design platform implements automated rebar design solutions for beams, slabs, columns, and walls,as well as mechanisms to maintain and manage manual interventions in rebar design, ensuring data consistency and traceability. This platform effectively handles frequent modifications and changes in projects while achieving"drawing-model consistency".Ultimately,by integrating these technologies,a BIM forward design platform for building structures was developed and applied in multiple projects, providing comprehensive and reliable digital models for intelligent construction and maintenance.
