BIM-BASED CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND APPLICATION OF PREFABRICATED LARGE-SPAN SPATIAL STEEL STRUCTURE
Large-span spatial steel structures feature large engineering quantities and a lot of components. The conventional method of on-site fabrication has shortcomings of low construction speed and accuracy.A BIM-based construction management method was proposed in this study for prefabricated large-span spatial steel structures.Firstly, the components required for construction were accurately arranged and optimized based on BIM simulation and high accuracy. The number of components was calculated by the BIM function of engineering statistics, and precise 3D component processing charts were exported for fabrication in factories. Thus, components can be prefabricated in batches in factories. Then, prefabricated components were checked by means of prefabrication simulation to ensure the accuracy and quality of components. Finally, the construction process was controlled and optimized with BIM technology to improve the construction efficiency.Based on engineering cases, the application of BIM-based management of steel structure prefabrication was introduced,as a feasible solution to the prefabrication of large-span spatial steel structures.
