STUDY ON THE INFLUENCE OF STATIC PENETRATION RESISTANCE
Static cone penetration,as a commonly used exploration method,is widely used in geotechnical investigation. To analyze the variation law of penetration resistance during static cone penetration testing of sandy soil under different conditions, this study takes siliceous river sand and calcareous coral sand as research objects, conducts static cone penetration tests under different compactness and stress states, and reveals the mechanism of resistance variation during the penetration process.Research has shown that as the relative density increases, the overall penetration resistance shows a linear growth trend;when the penetration depth is constant, the lateral friction resistance and inter cone resistance of river sand are both smaller than those of coral sand. This is because calcareous coral sand has a higher compressibility, and the increase in resistance during penetration will change the penetration mode from shear penetration to compression penetration.
