As a new urban planning concept,sponge city design is getting more and more attention.This study introduces a sponge city design calculation method and provides reference guidance to help other projects in sponge city design.Through a case study of a city,we verify the effectiveness and practicability of this method.The results show that reasonable sponge city design can significantly reduce the occurrence of urban flood disasters and improve the sustainable development ability of cities.
