Taking the safety improvement and renovation project of a theater as an example,targeted fire safety improvement measures are proposed and fire safety assessment method is adopted to determine the design of smoke exhaust system in the theater auditorium and achieve different smoke exhaust modes in case of fire at different locations in the auditorium.The project comprehensively improves the safety of the historic building while protecting the traditional style and features as much as possible and realizes the organic protection and internal function improvement of the historical building,which provides a reference for the protection and utilization of such projects.
