EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS OF STRENGTHENING AND STATIC LOADING OF A TIMBER TRUSS STRUCTURE
A finite element stress analysis was conducted on a lightweight wooden truss structure using SPA 2000 software.Based on the calculation results,corresponding reinforcement measures were proposed,and load tests were conducted on the reinforced wooden truss to verify its deflection,deformation,and strain values.The conclusion is summarized as follows:1)simulation analysis shows that the bending and shear bearing capacity of the end nodes of the wooden truss,as well as the tensile bearing capacity of the lower chord members of the wooden truss,do not meet the requirements of the specifications;2)the end nodes of the truss with insufficient bending and shear bearing capacity are reinforced with steel plate closure method,while the lower chord with insufficient tensile bearing capacity is reinforced with channel steel tie rods;3)load tests were conducted on the midpoint of the lower chord members of the reinforced wooden truss,the deformation(deflection)of the wooden truss nodes,and the strain of the upper and lower chord members of the wooden truss.The results showed that all parameter indicators met the requirements of the current specifications.
