FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE OF THE CONNECTION BETWEEN PRECAST TIE BEAM AND COLUMN PIER
The terrain in the western part of China is mostly high mountains and valleys, and the bridge substructure mostly adopts double-column piers with tie beams as the stressed members. In order to study the joint performance of steel prefabricated tie beams and concrete cast-in-place tie beams and column piers, three types of tie beams are set up,and the finite element model is established by ABAQUS software for quasi-static test.By applying vertical load and horizontal reciprocating displacement in the center of the cover beam, the joint performance of steel precast tie beams and concrete cast-in-place tie beams and double-column piers was studied from six aspects. The results show that the resistance to deformation and energy dissipation of concrete cast-in-place tie beams are slightly stronger than that of steel precast tie beams, and steel precast tie beams can better reduce stiffness degradation and deformation resistance, and reduce the damage caused by earthquakes.
