RESEARCH ON THE DIFFERENCES IN SHEAR WAVE VELOCITY TEST VALUES AND THEIR IMPACT ON SITE CLASSIFICATION
Shear wave velocity measurement is a key method to evaluate the soil characteristics of a site and its impact on seismic wave propagation. The difference of the measured values has a significant impact on the classification of sites.Through the geotechnical investigation of a wharf project in Qingdao, the shear wave velocity test data are collected, and the frequency distribution characteristics of each measuring point are analyzed, and the normal test is carried out to ensure the accuracy of the data. The research results provide scientific basis for engineering design, emphasize the importance of the difference of shear wave velocity in site evaluation, and provide beneficial technical support for engineering implementation.
