Screening of Outdoor Thermal Environment Evaluation Indexes for the Elderly with Different Frailty in Hot and Humid Regions in Summer
In order to accurately describe the thermal sensation of the elderly in hot and humid summer regions, and to improve the outdoor thermal comfort of the elderly in a targeted manner, the evaluation indicators of the common outdoor thermal environment were screened.Taking Guangzhou Nursing Home as the research object, and based on the different health conditions of the elderly, this paper divided the elderly into three categories:non-frailty,pre-frailty,and frailty. And the most suitable thermal comfort evaluation indicators for each type of elderly were studied through questionnaire research and thermal environment measurement. The experimental results show that the frailer the elderly, the less sensitive they are to the external thermal environment. However, the correlation between the exercise state and thermal sensation of the elderly is relatively low.In addition, the elderly have the highest sensitivity to wind speed indicators, and the outdoor thermal environment of the elderly in summer can be more effectively improved by increasing the wind speed.Compared with PET,mPET,and UTCI,SET'is more suitable for evaluating the summer outdoor thermal sensation of the elderly with different levels of frailty in humid and hot regions, and its predictive rate and expressiveness are the best.In the age-appropriate design of humid and hot regions,SET*can be used to evaluate the outdoor thermal comfort of the elderly in summer,to provide theoretical guidance for the construction of a healthy, comfortable summer outdoor thermal environment suitable for various elderly activities.
