Study on elastic-plastic seismic performance of structure with steel truss transfer stories
Based on elasto-plastic time-history analysis and a shaking table experiment of a frame-shearwall structure model with steel truss transfer stories, the seismic responses and damage in elastic-plastic phases of the structure are studied. The results show that the structure enters a slight plastic state under the action of rare earthquakes, the stiffness degradation is slow, and the elastic-plastic deformation meets the requirements of the dispalcement angle limit. The steel truss transfer layer and its adjacent layers are weak.To improve its ductility and seismic capacity, steels were built in the edge members of shear walls. The steel reinforced concrete column with high seismic capacity could realize the two defense line mechanism. However, the seismic performance of the steel truss transfer stories is good and the overall structure meets seismic performance objectives under the rare earthquake.
