Interpretation of Standard for Basic Data of Occupant Behavior in Building Energy Consumption Simulation
The description parameter of human behavior is one of the most crucial factors affecting the accuracy of building performance simulation. The technology of simulating human behavior with the aim of building energy consumption/performance analysis has garnered significant attention in the industry. The available human behavior simulation parameters in building energy consumption simulations are overly simplified and not flexible, making it challenging for energy consumption simulation results to support rational system comparisons and technical evaluations. To strengthen the pivotal role of simulation technology in scientifically informed decisions in the field of building energy conservation and to advance the development of human behavior simulation work for building energy consumption/performance analysis, the"Standard for Basic Data of Occupant Behavior in Building Energy Consumption Simulation"(hereinafter referred to as the'Standard')has been formulated. The Standard specifies standardized methods for generating various simulation parameters used in building performance simulation to describe human behaviors. It further outlines the fundamental data required to generate different simulation parameters,as well as the methods for acquiring, processing, and analyzing this data, ultimately enhancing the accuracy of building energy consumption simulation. This paper will provide an explanation and overview of the compilation basics, scope of application, and the content of the Standard.
