Experimental study on the hysteresis performance of double friction hinge damper
In order to solve the issue of the continuous change in damping force with load displacement in traditional rotational friction damper,a double friction hinge damper has been proposed, which maintains a relatively constant damping force within the designed displacement range.Experimental studies are conducted on the hysteresis performance of the double friction hinge damper. The test phenomena of different friction material specimens are compared.Key characteristic parameters such as slip displacement and friction coefficient are calibrated. The copper fiber friction plate exhibites an approximate coefficient of friction of 0.27,whereas the steel-copper friction plate demonstrated a coefficient of approximately 0.18.The restoring force model of damper is proposed. The primary influence patterns of parameters like pretension, the number of friction surfaces, and cumulative load displacement on the pretension loss, frictional force, and friction coefficient of different friction material specimens are identified.
