Study on Natural Ventilation Potential of Residential Buildings Based on Wind Pressure Frequency Statistics
Natural ventilation is an important technical measure to save energy in passive buildings. However,in the early design stage, the existing natural ventilation of buildings mostly relies on the experienced design of architects, and lacks simple, accurate and quantitative evaluation methods. This paper proposed a comprehensive evaluation method on the natural ventilation potential of residential buildings based on wind pressure frequency statistics.Taking typical residential buildings in Changsha area as an example, the natural ventilation performance of buildings under different design parameters such as plane shape, house type and number of floors was simulated and analyzed.Verification proves that the proposed method can accurately and quantitatively reflect the natural ventilation potential of residential buildings. The results show that the natural ventilation potential of residential buildings is affected by the building plan layout, building form, height and adjacent buildings,as well as the group arrangement.
