Research progress on compatibility between polycarboxylate superplasticizer and cement
The compatibility between polycarboxylate superplasticizer and cement significantly affects the rheological properties of fresh concrete, and has always been a hot topic in the field of cement and concrete research.Firstly, the definition of compatibility is proposed comprehensively based on the domestic and foreign literature and the practical engineering application requirements. Then, the influences of acid-ether ratio and side chain length of polycarboxylate superplasticizer molecules,as well as the clinker mineral composition, alkali content, gypsum content, cement fineness, and temperature on compatibility are summarized.Subsequently, the evaluation system of compatibility is established from the perspective of rheological properties, and the specific applications of methods such as fresh paste fluidity,Marsh cone method,Bingham model, and thixotropy in evaluating compatibility are discussed and compared.Based on this,a prospect for future research on compatibility is presented.
