Discussion on fire design of Haikou International Duty Free City project(plot 5)
Haikou International Duty Free City project is a large-scale commercial building which is characterized by large scale,complex space,multiple functions and assembly occupancies.This paper proposes the fire protection design objectives,compares and analyzes the fire protection design strategies on commercial impact between the covered pedestrian street and atrium modes,and adopt the atrium mode.It analyzes the fire protection design solutions adopted in the atrium mode for fire protection departments,safe evacuation,and fire separation,and puts forward four fire protection design challenges:the setting of sunken plazas and safe evacuation issues,the problem of fire protection department division in underground large-scale warehouses,the problem that the evacuation staircase in the middle of the building on the ground floor that cannot directly lead to the outdoors,and the problem of excessively long safe evacuation distances.lt compares and analyzes different solutions to these challenges and proposes suitable solutions and measures.To verify the feasibility of the fire protection design technical measures adopted,a fire simulation assessment method is used for verification.
