With the increase of existing buildings, the comprehensive renovation of existing buildings plays an increasingly important role in reducing global energy consumption and carbon emissions.Previous studies of carbon emissions have mostly focused on new buildings, but an increasingly number of scholars have begun to pay attention to the carbon emissions of building renovation in recent years. This paper first summarized the carbon reduction retrofit measures that often appeared in existing research, including passive strategies, active technologies and renewable energy technologies. Then,a comparative analysis was conducted on the quantitative prediction methods for carbon emissions of retrofit measures that were widely used in existing research and have development prospects, including the quantification of carbon emissions of single or combined measures, the calculation of carbon emissions of renovation schemes, the selection of retrofit measures, etc.Last, existing studies were analyzed and explored for their prospects in terms of retrofit measures, quantitative methods, embodied carbon emissions, renovation decisions, etc.,to provide theoretical reference for relevant scholars.
