Analysis of Summer Indoor Thermal Environment Testing of Sentry Boxes in Xi'an
There are a large number of sentry boxes widely distributed, with prominent issues regarding their summer thermal environment, yet receiving relatively little attention. This paper took the sentry boxes in Xi'an as a research object, conducting on-site tests on typical sentry boxes in summer. The results indicated that in summer,if air conditioning is not used in sentry boxes in Xi'an,the air temperature is significantly higher indoors than outdoors, with prolonged high-temperature periods during the day.Sentry boxes with air conditioning have high energy consumption for cooling per unit area, three times that of conventional office buildings.Passive measures such as shading, applying window films, and installing thermal insulation can improve the indoor thermal environment of sentry boxes.Among these, the effect of glass heat-insulating film is particularly good, with tests showing an average daily temperature decrease of 1.2℃ and a 9.4% reduction in cooling loads.Air-conditioned sentry boxes should be combined with passive measures to improve the indoor thermal environment while reducing energy consumption for cooling.
