Research on the Impact of Soundscape Perception on the Vitality of Streets in Historic Blocks
Historic blocks are urban public spaces that are of immense historical and cultural value and characterized by a high population density.To illustrate this,a multiple linear regression model of street vitality was built by combining objective acoustic measurement with a subjective questionnaire survey,with West Street in Quanzhou as a case,to examine the influence of soundscape perception on street vitality in historic blocks.The research findings revealed significant variations in street sound pressure levels across different time periods.Moreover,there were positive correlations between satisfaction,pleasure and richness and street vitality in the overall soundscape perception.Additionally,preference for natural sounds among the types of sound sources influenced the measurement of historical street vitality.Furthermore,in terms of crowd characteristics,educational status and personal preferences were important factors influencing street vitality.The study is of significant reference value to studying the enhancement of street vitality in historic blocks,providing theoretical support for the construction and optimization of soundscapes in such areas.
