How can Private Enterprises Improve Their Innovation Capabilities?-Qualitative Comparative Analysis of Fuzzy Set Based on TOE Framework
Improving the innovation capability of private enterprises is of great significance to promote the development,transformation and upgrading of private enterprises in the new era.There is a lack of research on how different factors and their interaction effects affect the improvement of private enterprises'innovation capability from the perspective of configuration,and there is still a lack of theoretical explanation for the formation path of private enterprises'"high innovation capability".Based on the theoretical framework of toe,this paper selects the antecedent variables affecting the innovation capability of private enterprises from the perspective of"technology-organization-environment",and constructs an analytical framework,using fsqca3.0 explore the configuration of antecedent variables through qualitative comparative analysis of fuzzy sets.It is found that patent capability,R&D investment,human capital,knowledge absorption capability and social capital are the antecedent variables affecting the improvement of innovation capability of private enterprises,among which human capital,knowledge absorption capability and social capital are the core variables;There are four antecedent variable configurations that explain the"high innovation capability"of private enterprises,namely"knowledge absorption""R&D-human""matching""patent-human""matching"and"ideal".The research enriches the theory of private enterprises and the theory of innovation capability,and broadens the theoretical ideas to explain the improvement of innovation capability of private enterprises.Combined with the research conclusions,this paper puts forward the management enlightenment to promote the innovation capability of private enterprises.
