A Component-System Method of Structural Retrofit in the Micro-regeneration of Xiaoxihu,Nanjing
The relationship between structure and space is a key issue in building transformation.Based on the observation of four projects in Xiaoxihu,this paper summarizes the multiple design objectives,spatial design intentions and structural design approaches for building transformation in the context of"micro-re-generation".It reveals the synergistic mechanism between the"component-system"approach of structural retrofit and the"form-performance"intention of spatial renovation,providing a theoretical basis and empiri-cal reference for building transformation.
