Place and Placelessness is the representative work of Canadian human geographer Edward Relph,which established the research paradigm of the school of humanistic geography.The introduction is mainly from three aspects:academic context,research structure and contemporary influence:firstly,discuss the academic atmo-sphere of the humanistic geography research paradigm and its connection with architecture;then analyze the multiple dualism structure of the book,that is,duality criticism,connection of phenomenology Dasein and place,and the construction of integrated place;and finally,comment on its influences and contemporary connection.
