Patriarchal Interpretation:A Dimension of Interpretation of Chinese Mythical Culture
The unique aspect of Chinese mythology that sets it apart from Western mythology is the use of patriarchal interpretation as a cultural dimension. The establishment of this cultural interpretation dimension lies in the unity of the thinking mode of the unity of heaven and man with primitive thinking,as well as the close connection between people's cultural concepts and primitive cultural concepts during the initial recording of myths, that is,the important bridge role played by the patriarchal system in the connection between the Chinese mythological era and the civilized era. With the inheritance and extension of this cultural interpretation method, the patriarchal interpretation of Chinese mythology has condensed into three typical paradigms:respecting morality and protecting the people, ancestor worship, and rebuilding order. Its goals point to the conflict between civilization and nature, the ethical demands of kinship and respect, and the practical goal of extending ancestor worship. In the intertwining and combination of civilization and nature, the evolution of patriarchal forms and the inheritance of Chinese mythology have always accompanied each other, laying a solid foundation for the study of patriarchal mythology.
