This paper attempts to analyze the discourse and production processes of contemporary Chinese architecture over the past 20 years,and disscusses how to understand the characteristics of contemporary architectural practice in China from a global perspective,whether these characteristics can provide a unique experience that ultimately forms a"Chinese"theoretical framework.Furthermore,it argues that the localized responses taking specific and practical conditions into consideration to global issues are the root of the uniqueness in Chinese architectural practice.
