Research on the Design Methods and Technical Strategies of Vo Trong Nghia's Bamboo Architecture
An overview of Vo Trong Nghia's design philosophy for bamboo structures,this paper analyses the architect's basic principles of structural components,and selects four bamboo structural styles-arches,domes,umbrellas,and spatial grids to study his design strategies and key technologies of localization.It uncovers the uniqueness of Vo Trong Nghia's original bamboo architecture design,and generalizes and deduces pertinent design methods and technical strategies based on the analysis of his works,hoping to provide a reference for bamboo architecture design in China.
