The Design Practice of Industrial Production in Modern Timber ArchitectureA Case Study of Timber Modular Integrated Construction
This paper studies the use of engineered wood products and how this cuts down on greenhouse gas emissions in the building industry, claiming prefabricated construction and modular design maximizes the use of materials and lowers solid waste generation while improving building quality. This paper explores modular design and construction approaches based on industrial production and digital manufacturing of timber buildings by examining timer structures in Europe and China, and further discusses the applicable scenarios for these methods.
