Taking the works and thoughts of Antonin Raymond,an American architect of Czech origin,as the object of interpretation,this paper sorts out the influences of various stages from architects represented by Frank Lloyd Wright,August Perret and Le Corbusier on his architectural exploration process.This paper expounds how Raymond,as an"outsider"gradually and subtly integrated Japanese and Western construction techniques,lifestyles and spiritual cultures in architectural design,so that tradition and modernity can serve the final architectural purposes together,highlighting the present value of his design thoughts and practices.
