Six Bricolage Houses in Nantou:Curation-Driven Sustainable Regeneration
This paper reviews the branch venue at Nantou Ancient Town of the Ninth Shenzhen-Hong Kong Urbanism\Architecture Bi-City Biennale(UABB).Based on policy-driven regeneration,the architect as well as curator invited artists to work and exhibit on site in the urban village,completing a series of micro-regeneration projects of six self-built houses by villagers,which includes vertical integration and partial reorganization of various element of the city and the village,aiming to explore a new spatial pattern of city-village collage and the concept and methods of sustainable regeneration.
