The devotion to family and country is an essential element in fine traditional Chinese culture.Sung lyrics are permeated with strong devotion to family and country,which in turn are partially built through the mechanism of conceptual metonymy.Drawing on the framework of critical metonymy analysis,this study endeavors to explore the strong devotion to family and country in Sung lyrics,aiming to reveal the impetus and motivation of metonymic mechanism in constructing the devotion to family and country and thus to offer new insights into the interpretation of traditional Chinese culture with Sung lyrics as a representative.
