As an important part of the integrated health service system in the final stage of the human life cycle,hospice care is of great significance in improving the quality of patients'lives.China's hospice care is still in the pilot stage,there are legal norms and systems are incomplete,the development of the number of medical institutions is not balanced and insufficient,it is difficult for medical institutions to balance between social responsibility and conflict of interest,the main body of the patient's medical decision-making is not clear and other problems,which seriously affects the exercise of the patient's rights related to hospice care.The key to promoting the rapid development of hospice services lies in the establishment of an independent legal normative system to ensure that the service is governed by rules and regulations;the administrative authorities to actively fulfill the relevant duties,to ensure adequate resources;improve the assessment and supervision mechanism to enhance the quality of services;and clarify the status of the main body of the patient,to protect their legitimate rights and interests.
