Traditional method has a poor application effect in project cost estimation,and cannot achieve the expected effect,so the project cost estimation method in the preparation of construction project budget estimate is designed.In this paper,the data of construction project budget estimation preparation are collected,the construction project consumption and engineering quantity are calculated according to the budget estimate preparation information,the cost per square meter of the construction project is estimated using the weighting method,and the total cost of the construction project is estimated using the proximity method,so the project cost estimation is completed.Experiments show that,the estimation residuals of the design method account for less than 1%of the total cost,and the estimation time is less than 10 min,which shows obvious advantages and has a good application prospect.
