In China,small-scale reservoirs in various regions have undergone the risk reduction and reinforcement projects to solve the potential safety hazards of reservoirs and improve the utilization rate of water resources,which also play a positive role in promoting local economic development.The purpose of this paper is to discuss the problems and improvement strategies of the construction and management of risk reduction and reinforcement projects of small-scale defective and dangerous reservoirs.Through an in-depth analysis of the characteristics of small-scale reservoirs and the shortcomings of the existing management modes,a series of targeted management strategies are proposed to improve the construction and management efficiency of small-scale reservoir risk reduction and reinforcement projects,ensure the safe operation of reservoirs,and provide strong support for regional water conservancy construction.
