With the acceleration of urbanization process,cities are facing increasingly serious problems such as water resource shortage,water quality pollution,and torrential rain flooding.To address these challenges,more cities are implementing sponge city planning.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the application and impact of sponge city planning in green ecological urban area,and discuss its future development directions and challenges,aiming to promote the sustainable development of green ecological urban areas in practice.
