In order to conform to the development trend of the times,all kinds of new and environmentally protective building materials have emerged and have been widely popularized and used.Among them,green building materials have attracted much attention as an emerging product.Taking construction projects in colleges and universities as an example,this paper discusses several main green building materials used in colleges and universities and their technical characteristics,compares the performance differences between traditional building materials and green building materials and their respective application scopes,points out that green building materials have the advantages of saving energy,reducing consumption,reducing pollution,and improving indoor comfort,which is in line with the national sustainable development strategic goals and one of the future development directions of the construction industry.
