The process of urbanization and the development of residential buildings have produced a series of environmental problems and the need for sustainable development.In this context,the ecological concept is widely used in the design of modern urban residential buildings.This paper will explore the application of ecological concept in the design of urban residential buildings,with a focus on specific practices in the areas of energy conservation and environmental protection,greening and landscaping,environmental quality and health,community participation and sustainable management.The analysis and case studies contribute to better understand and apply the significance of ecological concept in the design of modern urban residential buildings.
