Effect of Densified Ferrosilicon Smelting Waste Low-grade Silica Fume on Rheology and Mechanical Properties of Concrete
This paper investigates the composition of fully encrypted low-grade ferrosilicon silica fume, the effect of mixing mode on the dispersion effect of silica fume in concrete and the mechanical properties of concrete, and the effect of different silica fume dosage on the rheological and mechanical properties of concrete. The results show that the SiO2 in fully encrypted low-grade ferrosilicon silica fume is only 74.94%;the increase of fully encrypted silica fume admixture increases the yield stress of the fresh paste, and has less effect on plastic viscosity, and the effect of fully encrypted low-grade ferrosilicon silica fume on the increase of yield stress is higher than that of in-situ silica fume.By simulating transport mixing or pre-mixing,the fully encrypted low-grade ferrosilicon silica fume can be used to achieve a better dispersion effect in concrete and significantly improve the compressive strength of concrete. At a silica fume dosage of 5%,simulated transport mixing and pre-mixing increased the compressive strength of concrete by 9.6%to 28.9%and 9.6%to 27.8%,respectively,compared with the normal mixing method.Compared to when the cement substitution ratio is 1∶1,using the 1∶2 cement substitution ratio and adding 5%fully densified low-grade silica fume reduces the 7 days compressive strength of different strength grades of concrete by 18.1%to 29.6%,and the 28 days compressive strength by 14.0%to 17.9%.
