Study on the Influence of Mineral Admixtures on the Performance of Large-volume Concrete
The hydration temperature inside large-volume concrete rises rapidly, making it prone to local high-temperature cracks. At the same time, under high cement dosage, the overall viscosity of concrete is high.By introducing mineral admixtures, the hydration rate of the process is delayed while reducing the viscosity of concrete. The overall hydration process of concrete is stable, the temperature rise is steady, and the phenomenon of rapid temperature rise is avoided. The performance of concrete is superior. This article investigates the influence of gradient changes and mixing ratios of fly ash and mineral powder on the performance of large-volume concrete. The results show that after adding fly ash,the viscosity of concrete decreases and the flowability improves. When the fly ash content is 30%,the concrete has the maximum expansion, which is 585 mm.Fly ash and mineral powder have a significant effect on improving the later strength. When the fly ash content is 30%and the mineral powder content is 20%,the compressive strength of concrete at 28,60 and 90 days is 59.8,68.9 and 74.5 MPa,respectively;under the dosage of this mineral admixture, the concrete has good durability performance and meets the construction requirements.
