The Effect of Gypsum on the Properties of Cementitious Self-leveling Mortar
This paper studies the effect of anhydrite,β-hemihydrate and dihydrate calcium sulfate on properties of underlayment self-leveling mortar using OPC-SAC-GS ternary binders. The results show that the addition of β-hemihydrate calcium sulfate decreases the initial flowability and the flow retention of self-leveling mortar, and reduces the early shrinkage.Improve the addition of β-hemihydrate will results in lower 1 d strength and larger expansion.Appropriate addition of β-hemihydrate will help to improve the 28 d strength and reduce the early shrinkage.Anhydrite addition does not greatly change the flowability and dimensional shrinkage of the self-leveling mortar, and it is beneficial to reduce the 28 d shrinkage.Dihydrate calcium sulfate has no obvious influence on the flowability of self-leveling mortar, and has a small influence on the flow retention and the 28 d dimensional change rate.
